In the village of Saint Seurin de Cadourne the majority of homes possess a small parcel of land (in part of the Reysson marsh) to provide a kitchen garden. The marshland is full of nutrients and thanks to the drainage canals the soil is continually irrigated through capillary action. Vegetables grow well with ease.
